Partnerships

We intentionally work together with local churches, agencies and other partners to provide sustainable youth and family ministry. We actively partner with the following programs/organizations:

  • Local churches — our heart is to connect young people with the larger body of Christ in Spokane. Therefore, we actively encourage young people to attend church each Sunday with YFC staff or mentor.
  • Spokane Public Schools — we have built and maintained a symbiotic relationship with Spokane Public Schools. Through school buses, data sharing and on-campus volunteering, we are blessed to work alongside the local schools to impact at-risk youth.
  • Re-Least —  Information coming soon.
  • Young Lives — Young Lives is a ministry of Young Life. This ministry targets young teens who are either moms or soon to be moms. The focus of this ministry is on sharing hope and providing essential life-skills training to help these young moms become healthy and productive citizens. Young Lives works in collaboration with Life Services and meets every other Thursday at our West Central Youth Center.
  • West Central Community Center — Each Thursday night, our youth participate in Teen Night at the West Central Community Center. This provides a healthy activity and the opportunity to learn sportsmanship and teamwork through their emphasis on basketball.
  • Project Hope — Project Hope is committed to creating opportunities for youth enrichment through community engagement, job training and education. Every summer, several youth in West Central are employed by Project Hope and will serve as a part of their urban farming, West Central lawn care, or farmer’s market teams.
  • Spokane Police Department — Through an innovative program called the Youth & Police Initiative, our young people are able to build relationships with local police officers and explore ways to make a difference in their community.
