André Lewis Bio

Executive Director

André grew up in Spokane and attended Lewis and Clark High School.  Upon graduation, he attended the University of Washington in Seattle.  It was during college that God began to call him into vocational ministry. In 1993, he met his wife in Boulder Colorado while she attended the University of Colorado.  At the time André was interning with a college ministry.  In 1995, they were asked by a Presbyterian Church to start a college ministry to students at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC.

After 6 years of serving college students they felt the need to be further equipped and thus began their seminary training in St. Louis.  Shortly after arriving in St. Louis, the Lewis's sensed that God was redirecting their call from college students to church planting.  This desire continued to grow and culminated with them being qualified as church planters by Mission to North America’s Church Planting Assessment Center.

After graduating in May 2004 from Covenant Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity, the Lewis's moved to the Redmond area to share the grace of Christ by planting a new church called Redeemer Redmond.

After more than a decade of ministering in Redmond, Andre accepted a call to be the next Executive Director of Spokane YFC.  He is committed to seeing more and kids come to Christ and of Spokane being transformed by grace, truth, mercy and hope.  He has a deep love for the church and desires to see more and more strategic partnerships emerge over time.  The Lewis's have been married for over 21 years and have three children ranging from 7th grade to a senior at Lewis and Clark High School.  If you would like to meet Andre please email him directly to set up a time.  He would appreciate and enjoy hearing your story!
